This award has three competition categories as follows:

  Reveal the magic of the night with light and shadow. Capture vibrant cityscapes, starry skies, or dazzling fireworks in low-light settings.

  Tell stories through stunning portraits. Capture the depth of human emotion, from joyful smiles to the wisdom in wrinkles, sharing moments that resonate universally.

Important Notes

• Prizes are tax-inclusive and paid in USD. Local currency payments will use the June 30, 2025 exchange rate. Taxes are the winner’s responsibility.
• Winning photos and titles may be shared on OnePlus platforms.
• OnePlus 13 models may vary by region.

Smartphone users worldwide have the full legal capacity to participate.

• OnePlus Group: Entries must be shot with a OnePlus smartphone (model not specified).
• Public Group: No brand or model requirements for the smartphone.

Detailed Rules for Submissions

• Participants can enter 1-3 categories, with a maximum of 15 entries per category.
• Entries must include complete EXIF data; missing info may affect judging.
• Entries can be submitted to multiple categories but can only win in one.
• Photos shot must have been after February 7, 2023, 11:59 PM (UTC+8).
• Acceptable file formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, DNG, HEIC, HEIF (3MB to 10MB size)
• Photos must be taken and edited by the participant. Only basic edits (brightness, contrast, and more.) using mobile editing apps are allowed—no AI or desktop tools.
• Photos that have won awards or been published (except for social media reposts) are ineligible.
• If an entry wins another award or is published before August 19, 2025, it becomes ineligible for the OnePlus Photography Awards.

The following are the judging criteria and process:

Criteria: Composition, creativity, relevance, and visual storytelling

Process:

• Preliminary Review: The Committee selects entries periodically during the submission period.
• Finalizing: After submissions close, the Committee chooses about 100 finalists per category.
• Judging: The panel scores finalists independently on a scale of 1-100.
• Score Calculation: The Committee tallies scores to determine rankings and final results.
• Public Feedback: The Committee announces proposed winners for public feedback.
• Winner Announcement: The Committee announces the final results after considering judges’ and public feedback.
• Note: Withdrawal before August 1, 2025, results in forfeiting eligibility for awards.

The entrants’ responsibilities are as follows:

• Ensure full copyright ownership of entries.
• Entries must not infringe on legal rights or defame others.
• No inappropriate, illegal, or discriminatory content
• Comply with local laws and avoid politically or socially harmful content.
• OnePlus reserves the right to disqualify any entries that violate these rules.

• The Committee will announce the results on August 19, 2025, followed by a two-week publicity period for public supervision.
• The Committee will publish the winners on the official website and notify them via SMS, phone, or email after the publicity period ends.
• If you have feedback or questions about the results, contact the Committee at photoawards@oneplus.com before the publicity period ends. After that, the Committee will no longer accept feedback.
• If a winner provides incorrect or incomplete contact details and the Sponsor cannot reach them, and they fail to get in touch within 15 working days of the announcement, or if they decline the award or fail to submit required documents on time or in the proper format, they will forfeit their prize. The Sponsor will not be held responsible and will not reassign the award.
